Vancouver Island Jewellers (Dievert's Jewellers) is now offering Free Shipping on all Canadian orders over $100! Some exceptions/conditions apply.

Currently we are only able to accept on-line orders to shipping addresses within Canada and the United States.

Unfortunately, because of high shipping costs, at this time we cannot offer free shipping for:

  • Orders outside Canada.

  • Orders from Canadian Territories (Northern Territories, Yukon and Nunavut).

  • Orders from Alaska, Hawaii, US Military Addresses (APO, AFO, etc).

  • Orders for which a coupon discount is used.

All retail prices on our website are in Canadian Dollars and your purchase and any applicable shipping will be charged in Canadian Dollars. Vancouver Island Jewellers does not covert money between foreign currencies. All currencies conversions are handled by the Credit Card company you use to make your purchase.

As soon as you place your order you will receive an order confirmation e-mail. This means that we have received your order in our system and pre-authorized your credit card for the purchase.

All online purchases on Vancouver Island Jewellers are processed through the very secure PAYPAL Website Payment Pro. Your credit card statement should indicate a purchase was made at Dievert’s Jewellers Ltd. via PAYPAL.

All in-stock orders are shipped from Port Alberni, B.C. Canada within 3-5 business days (M-F) after payment is received. This 3-5 day timeframe does not cover weekends, legal holidays, vacation or operation shutdowns. If you need to have your order processed soon, please always send us an e-mail to find out if we are having vacation or operation shutdown.


  • All orders $0-$500 are shipped via Canada Post Express

  • All order $500 and Over are shipped via Canada Post Priority Courier,

  • All Orders over $1,000 to the U.S. are shipped via UPS Ground/Standard.

As soon as your order is shipped, you will receive an e-mail to confirm your shipment and shipping method. You will receive a tracking number by email once we enter your order in the Courier system. This will usually happen the next business day after you have placed your order. Other shipping methods maybe available upon request, additional charge will apply. Your shipment will be covered with full insurance and a tracking number will be provided on orders over $100. All orders placed on can now be tracked. Orders that ship via Canada Post will ship Expedited Parcel, Priority Courier or UPS so even these orders are traceable.

If an item in you order is not in stock, we will notify you by e-mail of the expected delivery date. All items in your order will be shipped all at once. You will be given the options to wait for the item you ordered, substitute it with another product, or cancel your order altogether.


When we ship your purchase we request that on delivery we get a signature from the person receiving the delivery. If someone is home when the delivery is attempted they will obtain a signature from whomever is available, not necessarily the person whose name is on the package.



The courier will leave a ‘Something for you’ a card explaining that they attempted to make a delivery. The recipient then has a choice to either collect the item from their local courier / Post office or arrange a redelivery.

Customers are responsible for customs brokerage fees, duties and taxes if applicable.

Orders paid by cheque or money-order will not be shipped until payment is cleared.

Please make sure that your shipping address is correct. An incorrect address may cause delay in shipping. Any cost incurred due to incorrect shipping information will be charged to the customer.

Any cancellation made after the order confirmation sent by us (regardless of whether it has shipped) will be charged if any shipping charges have been incurred.

Order amounts qualified for free shipping are subject to change without notice.

Delivery dates are determined by Canada Post and UPS. Dievert’s Jewellers ( is not responsible for any delayed deliveries. If your order is not received after 5 business days of the scheduled delivery date, please contact us and we will place a request to trace your shipment.



No On-Time Guarantee - Severe weather and acts of god can delay an order by couriers. This can include snow storms, tornados, twisters, severe rain warnings, severe cold,road closures or other unforeseen events which prevent couriers from making the delivery according to their guaranteed times. Dievert’s Jewellers ( is not responsible for delivery under these types of circumstances.


  • Order is pending approval and fraud verification from your credit card company

  • “Bill To” and “Ship to” addresses are not the same.

  • We are currently out of stock on one or more of your ordered items.

  • You have ordered a ring that is a special order.

  • An order which is being shipped outside of Canada.

  • Ring sizing & engraving.

  • An order that requires some other customization.

All delivery times are approximate only and not guaranteed times. Allow extra time for delivery to remote areas and for delivery during the busy holiday season.


The approximate shipping times, for in-stock items, when using Standard Shipping (Canada Post Express) is:




Up to 3 weeks for remote areas.

Selecting Express Shipping will reduce the above delivery times. Please order as early as possible to avoid disappointment.


Should you wish to ship your order to an address that differs from the billing address on your credit card, you must ensure that your credit card company has a record of that alternate address. To maximize security, our customer service team will ensure the authenticity of your billing and shipping address with your credit card company. For this purpose, we may request that you send us a copy of your photo ID and the credit card used for the purchase, so that we may verify that you are indeed the cardholder. To protect your privacy, cover the 8 middle digits on the credit card. Please understand that these security measures are for your own protection.
